Parents Who Host Lose the Most
A public awareness program educating communities and parents about the health and safety risks of serving alcohol at teen parties. This media campaign, adapted from Drug-Free Action Alliance, is held during the months of May-August.
A variety of messages and strategies are utilized including billboards, yard signs, banners, radio and newspaper PSA’s, school-based posters, and letters to graduating seniors from elementary students. This program helps educate adults and business on the important role they play in reducing underage drinking and has been a strong contributor to the summertime drop in alcohol MIP’s.
