Goals

  • Increase Social Emotional Learning skills and educational learning opportunities for our region
  • Decrease the youth use rates and negative impact of substance abuse in our region

Proposed Outcomes of the above efforts:

  • Decrease in current youth use rates of alcohol, tobacco and or marijuana use among area youth. (Oregon Student Wellness Survey)
  • Increase in youth perception of risk for regular use of alcohol and or marijuana among area youth. (Oregon Student Wellness Survey)
  • Increase in the perception of parental disapproval of alcohol, tobacco and or marijuana by area youth (Oregon Student Wellness Survey)
  • Increase in the number of area youth who feel they are surrounded by people who love, care for, appreciate, and accept them (Search-Institute DAP survey)
  • Increase in the number of area youth who indicate that they have been provided with clear rules, consistent consequences for breaking rules, and encouragement to always to their best (Search-Institute DAP survey)
  • Increase in the number of area youth who indicate that they are developing strong guiding values that will help them make healthy life choices, including responsibility, empathy, and self-control (Search-Institute DAP survey)
